Dacon Europe A/S is a leading importer/wholesaler and product developer for the maritime industry, serving both the yacht market and professional shipping, including its sub-suppliers.
The company’s journey began in 1990 with the production of Dacon inflatable boats in collaboration with our first partner in South Korea.
This venture led to significant exports of our high-quality boats across the European market, laying the foundation for Dacon Europe A/S.
In 1995, after the factory was acquired by former partner A.H. Young Ltd., Dacon Europe A/S transitioned to importing products such as electronic charts from Navionics (Italy) and Geonav chartplotters.
Subsequently, we expanded by acquiring the agency for Micrologics (USA), pioneers in maritime GPS technology.
This marked the start of rapid growth, as we added numerous agencies and developed a wide range of maritime equipment, including our own DACON products for the boat industry.
One notable collaboration was the co-development of next-generation switch-mode battery chargers for the yacht market alongside a French manufacturer.
